This unit from TaoTronics is high quality without that price tag. After a week of use it does exactly what it is supposed to do with no silly frills. The tank lasts me two nights - keeps the humidity between 40%-50% on a low setting. The handle on the tank is clever and makes refilling super easy. No cartridges or filters to buy\/maintain. Very happy with this purchase and the other TaoTronics I own. Digital steam control works well. Seems to work OK, definitely an affordable option for a medium sized room. The carrying handle is a nice touch, as is the S shaped water plug on the bottom of the water container. Allows leverage to open and close the water container. \n\nCons: the mist dispenser sits on the water container, has to be removed each time the container needs refilling. The water level indicator is hard to read. They could have added a humidity level sensor, as they did on earlier models. Even the higher priced models now lack the ability to control the humidity level.
