This LED desk lamp is one of the coolest things I've ever used. The feature list is pretty impressive. It's easy to assemble (about 2 minutes or less). It involves an allen wrench and a bolt (both provided). Once assembled it's ready to go. Plug it in. There are 3 'buttons' on
This LED desk lamp is one of the coolest things I've ever used. The feature list is pretty impressive. It's easy to assemble (about 2 minutes or less). It involves an allen wrench and a bolt (both provided). Once assembled it's ready to go. Plug it in. There are 3 'buttons' on the base, although there are no physical 'buttons'. You can actually just barely touch each area, and it will perform the required function. I can get it to work by just hovering my fingertip just above the 'button' areas! One 'button' is to turn the lamp on/off. The other 'button' is to choose the 'color temperature', and the 3rd 'button' is to set the timer (works up to an hour). Above the 3 'buttons' on the base is a narrow 'color temperature' adjustment slider area. Slide your finger to the left or right along that area, and it will adjust the brightness. It has a variety of 'color temperatures'. Anywhere from dim soft-white to daylight bright. A great way to get just the right amount of light that you need. You can adjust the 'temperature' by using the 'button' with the letter 'M' on it. Tapping it repeatedly will result in cycling through 5 different 'color temperatures'. For instance, bright white light might be good during the day. At night, the dimmer soft-white setting will probably be more appropriate. Tap the 'button' until you reach the temp you want. Color temperature range is from 2800-6500K. This light also folds up, so it saves aLOT of space as compared to other desk lamps. Lowering the horizontal light bar results in a narrow vertical upright bar and the base for storage. Very little space taken up. Raise the light bar to the horizontal position to aim the light. Once you raise the light bar, you can even gently rotate the area on the now-horizontal light bar where the LED strip is located, and direct the light in different directions. Another nice touch. Rubber feet on the bottom of the base prevents slippage. There's even a USB port on the side of the base for charging a device (5V/1A). Very convenient. If I had to come up with a 'negative' regarding this light, I'd say that the USB port on the side of the base at 1A could be better if it was 2A output or higher...but that's far from a deal-breaker, as I may never even use that charging port. The only other thing (again, if I were REALLY picky) is that the lamp plug is a 'wall wart'. HOWEVER: it's not as large as other plugs like it, and I have it plugged into a regular power strip that other devices are already plugged into...and it fits nicely between 'regular' plugs on either side. Also, the plug disconnects completely from the lamp itself, which is a nice feature. When all's said and done, I love this lamp. It has a large feature set for a desk lamp (I love options). The features are really helpful to get just the right amount of light to where you need it. It's hard to beat this desk lamp, and I feel very comfortable highly recommending it!
